A Santa Maria style barbecue uses a method of grilling that originated in the Santa Maria Valley on the Central Coast of California. The technique has evolved over the last 170 years, but the founding principles are the same.
The Santa Maria grill is a great grill for all barbecuing enthusiasts. It features a large adjustable stainless steel grill rack with interchangeable hot plate. It also boasts a large wood, kindling and cookware storage compartment underneath the fire box. You can grill all kinds of meats and veggies and use any fuels you like. The possibilities are endless.
The fire box has been lined with fire bricks with five circular dampeners on the doors to adjust and direct the air flow in the firebox. The grill rack frame is adjusted using the wheel and lever on the right side.
This Santa Maria is made from 3mm Corten steel panelling and framed with 3mm 40x40 box iron. It is then sandblasted and high temperature powder coated.
